BioI'm Shannon, 27, currently living in Texas, right between Dallas and Fort Worth. I've been here for 4 years.
I'm a lesbian, and have been with the same fabulous woman for almost seven years. Her name is Susan. We share our home with Caroline, my current guide dog, Rachel, my retired guide, Winter Solstice, who is a gray and white feline, and Sierra, a multi-colored guinea pig. So, as you can tell, I like animals a lot.
I'm totally blind, and have been since birth. However, when I am friends with someone, I want us to have more than blindness in common.
I'm Pagan: a Feminist Dianic Witch, to be exact. I'm not going to push my religious views on anyone, so would like the same courtesy.
I love crystals of all kinds. Smokey quartz and lepidolite are my two favorites.
I'm a grad student, working on a master's in social work. My undergrad degrees are in psychology and vocal music. I'm hoping to become a therapist for those whith chronic mental illnesses, but first, I must graduate.
I'm an avid reader, willing to read just about anything, as long as it isn't Christian fiction, horror, or self-help.
I'm on here, looking for friends. So, if I sound interesting to you, feel free to add me. However, I do talk about some pretty personal stuff here (mental health, relationship stuff, and some sexual things, as well as witchcraft, my feelings about my family, etc.), and so, if that's a problem for you, you might not want to add. There are some public entries, but, a couple of months ago, I decided to friends lock this journal, so only old posts are public.
